oops..forgot to post!
Been a busy few days. Nathan wanted to do lots of Maths work so he did lots yesterday plus work on Navvies building canals. Today was Art. He made a birthday card for his cousin. He did lots of cutting out which is something he struggles with but he took his time and his card looked lovely when finished! Afterwards he learned how to make a photo collage using picassa. He got carried away and made three lol! He read more of his Star Wars book and then i read some more of a book we started yesterday..."the boy in the dress" - David Walliams. Had us both laughing at a shopkeeper called Raj (very persistant lol).

Canal Walk
Another lovely day here so thought we'd learn about our own home town industry connections.
We walked a very long length of the Leeds Liverpool canal. Took photos to follow soon.
Taught him about the markings on the tunnels that the stone masons left to personalise their handy work. Talked about all the old cotton mills and chimneys. The moorings and slopes in the canal where the shire horses that fell in were coaxed out again. Was interesting to the both of us. We fed the ducks and swans. Spotted blue dragonflies and even saw a yucky rat lol!!! We will be following up todays work tomorrow but can honestly say that it was one of the most productive days thus far! We are both loving this.
